and again rain. It did so for 4 days in a row, nearly continuously. But yesterday and today sun came out again. Even with this heavy pouring rain, life on the streets goes one. Like the noodle shops along the streets, they just pull a tarpaulin above there heads. The rain doesn't feels bad at all. You get wet, but it's warm and you dry pretty quickly. So i like to drive around thru this rain on a motorbike, just the brakes don't work that well and sometimes the water on the streets get quite deep.

The last fieldtrip was all right, so things start to work. Also i've could done another station additionaly but i'll save it for the next time. I would like to have on day out there on the bay where everything just moves fine and smoothly, in this way i'm a perfectionist. The last trip, half of the department used the opportunity to go out and have a "day off". Ok they claimed to work out there, but reading sleeping and snorkelling i don't really count as work. But the vietnamese are like that, they always keep telling me i need to slow down (in my opinion i'm very slow here) and they like fieldtrips. Friends saw a turtle at the reefs yesterday, normally you don't have them around, getting eaten pretty soon if they come to close to Vietnam.

Today is Halloween, the tourist pups celebrate it, but i won't join. Its feels kind of weird to do so here (despite the fact i never did it back in Germany). So i can rather sit at home and work, or watch a movie. Got some from friends, but most bootlegs you can buy here stop 10 min. before the end...
