south china sea

So it comes

So, as i have foreseen it, my fieldtrip needed to be cancelled. Because we got touched by a taifun and a low pressure system above china, we have 2 m waves hitting the coast. For me to work and for the boat to anchor just to much. So i skip it to next week. Three days ago, because of the waves, three vietnamese people drawned at the beach. Their bodies still not discovered. I hope they are not washed into my working sites. The last thing i want to find are corpse under water. But with this wave action as well as currents we face here at the moment they will be most likely washed offshore.

Yesterday a guy wanted to help me, because of the cancelling he followed his normal jop as a divemaster. And he said i've been glad that i didn't went out to work. Even in 10 m depth one was shooked by the waves and on top of this the visibility was really poor because of the sediments which got dispersed.

Hope next week the sea is calm again and work can go on as usual...
