Internship Report 2007

This summer I did an internship at cocoate.com, a management consultancy situated in France.

I was part of the team organising an international Second Life conference in Berlin as well as analysing two websites from a marketing perspective and creating web content for those websites.

Here is my internship report, that is mandatory for my studies, but also give me personally and you an overview of what cocoate.com is, what my tasks and responsibilities were and what I learned during the past months. Smiling

What have I been doing?

As said previously, I am part of the slconference 2007 team organising a Second Life conference in Berlin this September. So this is what kept me busy:

  • writing to potential sponsors and speakers
  • updating speaker profiles and session descriptions
  • writing and publishing press releases
  • translating news and descriptions
  • keeping in contact with speakers and answering their queries (ABN AMRO, ING, Lost in the Magic Forest, Community Chest)
  • sending out e-mails to potential participants (media agencies, full service agencies, universities etc.)
  • and little things in between Smiling

I am still alive

Yes, I am still alive, still writing and trying to update my blog. But I have been extremely busy since the second I arrived in France.

I am working for/on this right now: slconference 2007 also documented here.

preparing slconference 2007 - Day 4

For all those who not have yet heard about the Second Life conference taking place in Berlin this September, have a look here. I am part of the slconference 2007 team, responsible for the marketing and texts published. I have already started last Thursday reviewing the Topics description of the website, writing the Invitation. I continued with the speaker invitation letter (for those interested click on it and read!! Smiling) and the sponsorship letter. I finalized the first press releases in English and German and started to publish them on several PR websites. If anybody is interested, you can include banners and logos on your website. Smiling You find them all here.
