• Why?
  The company eduate was closed on 31 December 2009. The project bloghouse belonged to eduate and is therefore also concerned. We have no capacities to look after the project any further and decided that it is better to close the Website. Selling the Website or transferring it to another operator is not possibility, as we don't consider the content as our property. The URL eduate.eu is still being used. Since the beginning of the year 2010, there is a developing platform for EU projects. Project partners can connect themselves with their projects and institutions on a European level.
• When?
  We will deactivate the site bloghouse.org on 31 March 2010.
  As of now, no new user accounts can be created.
  Visitors cannot comment anymore.
• What happens with my data?
  The data can be exported as RSS Feed.

• Alternatives?
  None :-)
  There are various operators for blogs. I don't want to recommend any directly.

I want to upload a picture onto the webspace of Bloghouse.org and insert it into my blog post.

This is a simple process - as shown by Hagen in a "Machm-it.org" online blogging course:

You can upload a picture as an attachment to your post. (Scroll down to the end of the site, there you see a field for "attached files". This is the place where you choose the picture from your computer's hard disk, click onto the button "Attach", and then the picture upload to Bloghouse.org will start).

After uploading, your image will be stored in the directory "files". You need not care about the correct path to it - the path is shown below and remains always the same: /files/name_of_the_image.But it is also shown under the attachment. (Please see the attached image no. 2.)

Oh boy! I looked in the bloghouse.org admin interface and I saw 65.134 received trackbacks (in 3 days).
I have configured the trackback modul in that way, that someone has to confirm the trackbacks. But with this this amount of SPAM, we have no real solution for that problem.
I have build a small sql script. It filters a lot:
