At 8 pm the joomladag in the Netherlands starts with a get together in the Lobby of the Golden Tulip Hotel.
We started with a beer at the bar and went to a steakhouse around the corner to eat something.
Lesley from google.com payed the bill for about 15 people or more (Thank you for that!)
After that meal we meet at the hotelbar until 1 o'clock.
It was interesting to hear the rumours of the community, the sophisticated plans of the core team members and the pragmatical problems of the normal user.
The core team is developing Joomla 1.5 and 1.0.12. A very interesting project is JCode, which will be a plugin for eclipse via easyeclipse.org. If this is ready you can develop with the Joomla Framework under the eclipse platform ("Yeah!!").
The version Joomla! 1.5 beta 2 lies in the air and I have heard sometimes the word "relase candidate".
The lack of ACL feature was a topic and the construction of a good open source project.
So far so good.
Nice people, nice environment.
